The NordMAB Biosphere Network met in Scotland on 7-9 October 2019
The Biosphere Reserves from eight countries in the NordMAB Biosphere Network met in Plockton on Scotland’s west coast on 7-9 October. Lotta Heimersson, CEO of the Nedre Dalälven Collaboration (NeDa) and Coordinator of the Nedre Dalälven River Landscape Biosphere Reserve, was in attendance.
The program included discussions about how tourism can help meet the UN’s Agenda 2030 Global Sustainable Development Goals. NordMAB is a sub-regional network for regular meetings. The network is made up of countries that touch the Arctic Circle and the three Baltic countries. This year, Wester Ross Biosphere in Scotland hosted the conference.
